Could someone please explain to me why you could store 1.0 M Fe2(SO4)3 solution in a container made of Ni metal safely?

The Fe ions wont react with Ni metal because its not a spontaneous reaction.

But Fe3+ has a greater Eo value so shouldnt it be spontaneous?

Maybe the rate of reaction is too slow? After all, the electrochemical series doesn't tell us that info...

even if it is slow it would still not be a good idea because we are storing it (eventually it would not be 1.0M anymore making it useless)

perhaps a mistake by the exam writer (they may have meant fe2+)
