Help!
« on: April 21, 2008, 08:57:00 pm »

 Hi,
not really tutoring as such I'm after.

I'm at Uni and would like help with that but more importantly with life generally, to find my passion(s), be more in control, going in a direction I like and not be living in regret.

You'd need to be mature, good at giving *good* advice adopting the right tone and ultimately confident in your ability to help me turn my life around.

If you are the right person I offer $40 hr and I'd meet you at the most convenient location for you or we'd talk on the phone

Yeah :P i had an ex-student tutor for methods and he was better value at $20 than an experienced teacher at 50 bucks so i thought i might try the same thing with this

I would love to be paid to discuss things with you. Add me on MSN and I'll discuss things with you for free, haha.

I'd love to help for free but I've got enough of my own problems. Just try find the positive spin on everything and their are always people who are willing to talk to you and give you advice for free. I'd actually advise against paying someone to give you life coaching because I think the fact that money is involved diminishes the ability of the coach to give you advice that is from the 'heart'. Thats not to say that people who take money for life coaching don't have a heart. I merely say that I think people who are willing to give you advise for free will probably be more helpful then people who want to be paid for it.

Go to the university counselor :) I'm sure they'd be more than happy to talk about any concerns and the direction of your life.

Thank you Coblin and costargh, too kind :)

Funny you  should reply Coblin, I was only thinking of you and Brendan when I made the original post

Wow, interesting. I'm not sure why you were thinking of Brendan and I with this post.

Do you consider us to be people who have direction and a passion, or perhaps maybe in the same category as you?

Also, you won't get banned for a multi if you aren't using it as a proxy account to break the rules.

That's strange. I just realised that I've never read about which course you're doing, I know you posted about Latin a long while back. Your profile tells me that you're at LaTrobe...
Personally, I wouldn't ban you.

Yes, you seem to know how to get what you want and are good at giving no-nonsense
advice. I'm talking to someone in England atm, he's good in an understated way but expensive, I wonder whether you could do almost as well. I'm not sure really, I change my mind all the time atm :P

oh, it must be a mod thing. It shows that you're accessing VN from the hostname lib41.lib.latrobe.edu.au
I hope you don't mind that I've said that...

Oh! No I don't mind. I don't know much about computers other than the basics, I should find out what an IP is.
Haha, there's one girl in my course who knows less than me -she doesn't know what a memory stick is
