Please explain?

I'm currently using Catcher In The Rye, Lady Gaga, arranged marriages/family values, asylum seekers and online/virtual identity all as extraneous material.

LOL not a problem.

Google it and you'll be surprised with the relevance this has with our rather dull context.

Yes. Maybe even compare the two.

"Don’t ever let somebody tell you you can’t do something, not even me.  Alright?  You got a dream, you gotta protect it.  People can’t do something themselves, they wanna tell you you can’t do it.  If you want something, go get it, period." - Chris Gardner

If you google 'Lady Gaga identity crisis'.. you will find some good, relevant material to use also.

She is always wearing masks, always dressed in flamboyant costumes, constantly changing her appearance - what does this say about her identity? :D (That was supposed to be a rhetorical question... just before anyone answers it).

when you say 'comapare' how exactly would you do that in one pargraph? Like if they were contrasting example shouldn't you put them in seperate pargraphs, how would you talk about both in the same pargraph?

look at the themes/concepts you're trying to get out of the examples: what point are you making? what do the two examples show us, how do they compare? how are they different?
etc etc. its a bit too general for me to answer, sorry...
