3 median smoothing method:
Look at first 3 points (points 1, 2, 3) and find the median; i.e. (2,5)
Look at the next 3 points (points 2, 3, 4) and find the median; i.e. (3,4)
Look at last 3 points (points 3, 4, 5) and find the median; i.e. (4,2)

connect up the points and look for any that correspond to the MC answers.
Obviously (4,2) is the only one that is on the smoothed line, therefore D.

answer is D.

apply the three median smoothing on the graph and you'll see it then.

I thought the second point was (3,2) and the third (4,4)
Do you mind explaining why its (3,4) and (4,2)
I'm a bit rusty on the Core --"

when finding the median, you have to find the median of the x-axis and the y-axis.
x-axis: going from left to right, the 'middle value' is 3 (ie. x=3)
y-axis: going from bottom to top, the middle value is 4 (ie. y=4)
combine together, you get (3,4)

similarly for the other coord.
middle x is 4
middle y is 2 (ie. y points are 2, 2, 4)

Oh I get it, so then afterwards you connect the 3 points and then what? What does it mean by smoothed line?
