My innate fobness can't get over the wording of this question.
Could someone please guide me through it?

EDIT: Also while we're here. For the MC - VCAA says its E but after calculating the values, there are no outliers. Should it be A?

Flattown has an outlier. Its is clearly the low value on the distribution.

For the first one its simply the 2009 ticket sales. Second should be a trivial sum
2009: Math methods: 50, Psychology: 44
2010: chem 47, further 48, Spesh 49 fml seriously and other yr 11 subs.
2011: Holidaying, screw school.

yeah question 3 is definitely E. What you do is turn your page 90 degrees to the left and then look at the shape.

First question, its saying what would you multiple with A_2009 so that it is suitable. For starters, A_2009 is a (3 x 1) matrix thus the matrix that it needs to be multiplied by (n X 3) matrix. Remember it is pre-multiplied therefore it will before the A_2009. you're given the number of sales and also the prices for each therefore if we multiply them together we know we can find out how much was earned. Thus total sales can be multiplied by the prices.

For part 2 total number of sales can be assumed to be the total number of people unless of course there were people that went to both days however this sin't mentioned so you simply add all the total sales so 820000, 124600 and 24400.
