cynicism in the context piece

should we avoid this? I found a context piece i did for "emotions and relationships are as real to us as our material circumstances" and I blatantly disagreed with it, and accused most people of paying great focus to the material world and downplaying the importance of emotions. wasn't a great essay, but for the most part, should we avoid cynicism? do people on VN think that cynicism is likely to be frowned upon?

Depends whether you can justify your contention with GOOD examples and evidence.

I think for arguments that the examiner disagrees with you are likely to get either a very good reception if you can make a solid case, but if it is flimsy then they are likely to think poorly of it.
