CORE:

A practise exam of mine asked to compare the median of box-plot with the MEAN of the boxplot?
The correct answer was that "median was less than the mean"... is this simply by estimation? Or is there a formula?

What is the difference between increasing seasonal trends and increasing trends that sorta look like they're doing the same thing half-yearly?

NUMBER PATTERNS:

If you have a geometric AND arithmetic scenario (as in .75 of the last week, with +500 at the end of each week), how do you set out the difference equation or the sequence equation to find the 'n'th value?

CORE Question...
You had to do it by inteligent estimation (if you can do anything "inteligent" in further maths)

2008 Q1 I am asuming,
Because of the outliars in the data the mean would be skewed higher than the reality of the middle or the median of the data... thefore making the median lower than the mean.

Number Patterns...
Tn+1 = Tn x .75 + 500
Does that ^ make sence?
Difference equations are horrible...

Well... to compare mean with median, you'll need to look at the shape of the plot.
You can find this in the textbook.
It's all over now..
