Geography is driving me INSANE!!!!!

(1/4) > >>

lara2707:
There is just SO much stuff to know!! I wish the study design was more specific, I mean, how many case examples and policies and strategies should we know? I'm getting so confused about how they all link together. And it's so annoying, because in the exam you only get asked a few questions about it, so half the stuff you learn is irrelevant!!!! Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh so stuck. So much to know. Anyone with me?

Rant over.

Sorry.

superflya:
taiga owned geography last year..

gold104:
Yeah, im with you... im learning
-2 policies and their strategies for the local resource.
-2-3 cases studies for population
-2 MDB conflicts.
-3 management stategies/responses to global pheno.

.. i feel your frustration, theres quite a lot of different things they can test you on =/

Also - does anyone have some additional info on sub regions (the textbook is limited in detail)
and... what is the management strategy to resolve the conflict in the north/south pipeline?

cheers

lara2707:
Do we need to know much detail on the sub regions? :S Crap.

I'm a bit stuck on the NS pipeline management as well! It's part of the NVIRP, which is a policy, so maybe we could talk about strategies under that, such as repairing leaking infrastructure and relining channels with plastic (there's a list on page 15 of the Supplement). But yeah, I don't know of a policy or strategy in direct response to the conflict surrounding the NS pipeline.

lara2707:
We've been given 5 case studies for population! Don't know if we need so many :S i think it's because one year I think they asked for two countries with an ageing population. Anyway, our countries are Kenya, the Gambia, Italy, Japan and Australia. I think Australia might be unnecessary though :S My local response is in Kenya (learning that as well as the national response). Oh, and then there's my global response too of course (UNFPA).
