I've found for afternoon exams, that it was best if I went an hour early (no stress about being late), and just flicked through my notes to get me in the zone. If you're well-prepared, then I think it's a bad idea to try to do any last minute study before the exam.

Maybe its just me, but sometimes i find if i go early, it builds up more pressure, cause people might start speculating whats going to be on the exam, or you feel anxious waiting until the exam.

So far for English and Spesh 1 i rocked up around 10mins before exam time. LOL

Yeah, i try avoid people... most of my mates start freaking out before exams... aint good for the confidence i've built up...

I get to the area around my school like an hour or two early, just hang around the shops then walk to school so i got about 15 minutes before the exam

Ah... see... it had the opposite effect on me. It probably has something to do with my personality. It helped me to know that I wasn't the only one who was stressed/nervous. The whole "Omg I'm so nervous!" "Me too!" thing actually helped me to calm my nerves a little. I didn't even mind talking to the completely depressed "I'm going to fail" people because it made me think, "Well... at least I'm going to do better than them."

Also: I had a 5km walk to school... I walk pretty fast, so it always got the blood pumping ...I liked a bit of a rest afterward instead of having to go straight into an exam.

Well depends if i know im going to do well in the exam id probably steer away from people who are going to collapse into a total mess of stress after ive spent so long preparing and trying to build up my confidence but if i think im going to do bad, id probably hang around them and have a good old fashioned winge

This is what i was kind of talking about before

Sleep to your hearts content (usually wake up around 1-ish)
Have a huge brunch with lots of eggs
Catch bus to school with a few study notes on the ride although that would most probably do nothing

Id go for a run and get my parents to do a few chores. Gets you active ridding yourself of any apathy. Then get your tutor/dad to watch you do a few questions that are hard to make sure any lazy working is absolutely blasted by them.

O wow thanks guys for those advice (for the most part =P).

will prob just sleep in and turn up to the exam w/o studying on that day itself, as I tend to get tired really quickly when I study.

Best of luck to all ^^

Youd be kind of sleepy straight after waking up

I think its from some guys book so id take it with a grain of salt (the diagram)

I don't think daylight savings would affect it exactly its more sunlight and things like that

wish the dumb EL exam wasn't so late...  i just want it over and done with.  I have looked forward to the day for years where I no longer have to worry about anything remotely english related!

EL isnt terribly hard, i've always seen (at least at my school) if you toss in a bunch of metalanguage and concepts, if you half decently know how to do them and construct a coherent essay, you're set.

I'm just thankful i dont have two exams in a row in one day or too many 9 am starts  (2/6)
