3 Median Line help!!!!!!!!!

question is are there any other methods of finding the 3 median line when no graph is given
some trial papers state use the calculator
how would i do this ??????

If they give you a table of values x and y, then you picture it as a graph and divide it into 3 columns, then do the same method as you would with a graph (i.e. finding the median x and median y values for the lower, middle and upper sections)

yep that is definitely the best way.

Oh so that's what that is for.. Is the b value the same as b = 1/3[(Ylower + Ymid + Yupper) - m(Xlower + Xmid + Xupper)]?

thats if the b value is the y intercept.

y=ax+b, b is always the intercept. so yes the value of b(y-intercept) can be found using that formula.

yeah so it would come up in the form; y=ax+b im presuming.
so yes the value of b is the intercept and can be found arithmetically using that long formula

Thank god, the CAS has it all I would have used that formula and it would have taken ages

haha yeah, but sometimes they just provide the graph with no data points so you have to go through the points manually and get the coordinates
