our school doesn't show us our sac marks, instead they give us letter grades.

eg;
VL (very low) - 2-20%
L (low) - 22-40 %
M (medium) - 42-60%
H (high) - 62%-80%
VH (very high) - 82%-100%

throughout the year, i have been getting H's.
considering i have no idea what my sac marks actually are, is it at all possible to work out what i will need to get in order to get a study score of at least 39 ?

There is only one but superordinate goal, try your best for the exam. I'd say if anything above 80% on the exam would mean 36+ don't worry about your sacs marks. Our school has the exact same letter gradings. Your sacs can even get brought up to like a VH of u get I think A and above. Hope this helps. In brief u need at least a high b+ or a
