Quick "Total" Exam Score Question?

Hey guys just wondering about this;

Scenario 1;
Exam 1: 35/40
Exam 2: 75/80

Scenario 2;
Exam 1: 40/40
Exam 2: 70/80

Would they both yield the same study score or different?
So,over both exams you lose a total of 10 marks, but in different ways.

I just made these numbers up, just curious to as if anyone knows what this difference makes?

From what i know,

Exam 1 yields 22% of your study score
Exam 2 yields 44% of your study score

so losing more marks on exam 2 will have more impact than losing more marks on exam 1

Isn't it still the same mark-to-percent ration?
Theres twice the amount of marks in Exam 2, so percentage is twice as more?

Exam 1
Lose 1 Mark and you get (39/40)*22% = 21.45%

Exam 2
Lose 1 mark and you get (79/80)*44% = 43.45%

Same loss of %?
