Hi, so I am a year 11 maths methods student. Getting well scores i.e term 3 94%. But my teacher is a total jerk. He thinks he knows what he is teaching but I dont believe so, there is two methods classes. I am in the second class, if i hadve pulled my socks up earlier I may have been in the 1st class. Only difference between two classes is that they go at a much faster rate and have more challenging questions. I do have a tutor and getting top grades in class but I am not quite sure if I am ready to succeed high scores in methods the vce exams. Aiming 35-45. Any suggestions to any quality sources for more knowledge ? Im just eager to know where I am based compared to state level.

He just gives us random worksheets from the jacplus website. If you can help me with 2 of them it will also be grand.

Q1. What numbers, when squared and added to their own squared recipricals, lead to a minimum value?
Q2. The sum of two numbers is 10. What are the two numbers if the sum of their squares is a minimum?

Working out of the questions will be good and will gain my knowledge. I hope you all take this post serious and try to help me out :p

Thanks.
2011:
Aims-
English 35, Further 45+, Methods 35, Physics 32, Turkish 33, Legal 28.

Question 2
The question should be a maximum

x + y = 10

Therefore x=5
