Well my school didn't end up finishing France and we're starting Russia on Monday. Looks like I'm going to be learning the rest of the French rev in the holidays.

Also, is it true the Russian revolution is easier?

Wow your school's fast getting onto France already! Yeah Revs is a fantastic subject...my equal favourite with Biology! Having a great class and Richard Malone as our teacher really makes each class something I look forward to. But that's so true...it's a lot of work for those of us who are after high scores! :)

Geeez i thought i had an excellent teacher, but youre teacher wrote my textbook so he must be fantastic haha. Im averaging an A for Russia with very little effort so hopefully if I keep studying Russia and do alot on France i should do well... hopefully.

Good luck! You will do well, especially since you know you have a great teacher :) I think this really is one of those subjects in which the teacher can make a huge difference, and also your belief/trust in your teacher. It's history lol! Haha, we're using Mr. Malone's textbook too (obviously...more royalties :P)...I swear, reading that textbook is EXACTLY like listening to him talk to us in class! We were at his HTAV lecture earlier this year, and it was hilarious because all these kids were asking him to sign their copies of his textbook..and at our next history class back at school, one guy in my class went up to him and got him to sign his textbook :D

That must be annoying :( Well, we haven't started France yet, but from what I've heard the French Rev is harder in that it consisted of many more little separate events compared to the Russian Rev..but obviously I'm yet to find out for myself as well. I found Russian spelling challenging at times lol, whereas French spelling won't be such a huge problem because I studied French...but all those Russian names...grr!

C'MON revs ppl...we need more activity....hows everyone's second rev going?? We're doing China...just finished from 1898-1911...still got a lot to go though

Butler:
Not a lot happening with Revs students, so allow be to give this sub-forum a kick...

First semester studied France, very enjoyable but the SACs were harder than I anticipated. Averaged 80%.

Currently studying Russia, again, enjoying it immensely. We're currently learning the ins and outs of communism, we've just finished 1905.

Anyone else?

ElephantStew:
finally, some one to speak to lolz
i've probably posted this on here already, but for you Butler, ill do it again
Did Russia last semester doing china now....Russia was fantastic :)
