Nuclear fission is the splitting of atoms.

Nuclear fusion is the joining of two light atoms.

Yeah, why not?

It's only going to be a one mark question. Anyway, the focus is not on what it is, but on how they compare to other methods of electricity generation, most of the marks are in the advantages/disadvantages.
