Last question of the 2007 exam:
Encryption
Encryption prevents hackers or other unscrupulous people from intercepting information by scrambling data before it is sent and then having an encryption key that only allows the head office to descramble the information. This is ideal because without such protection, it is possible that hackers or competitors may obtain and use this information in a way that may be of financial detriment to the organisation.
Usually, you'd want to use the organisation's name at all costs. In this case, though, the exam never stated the organisation's name. But overall, my emphasis when providing an answer is to state how information systems apply to an organisation, rather than simply describing how information systems work.
