Ah thanks for that.  I don't think it was asking for types of tests in terms of formal/informal, I think it was asking for ways that you could test the online booking form.  Well, for what it's worth that's how I interpreted the question in the exam...

I guess we interpret things differently :D

Mark Kelly haha, "Ask themselves if they are feeling uncomfortable because of an ethical quandary, or whether it was just the curry they had for lunch."

Yeahhh.. I don't think he likes the exam much :P

I'm surprised you guys found it an easy test, i personally thought the MC was really off putting, my confidence took a mohammed ali to the face during reading time, mostly because of the MC.
If question 3 was question 17 or something instead, i would have done better :D.
Good exam though, quite challenging, disappointed about the lack of VLOOKUPS, (REPLACED with a nested IF wtf?!?? was not expecting that one D: ) and lack of questions on laws.
I new laws well enough to apply it into the bonus section of legal studies which no one else got. FML, damn you VCAA!!

Hmm with the new update, just lost maybe another 3-5 marks:
Description of team portal, rules for report, and maybe the ethical qn.

Lol I got the disadvantage of VPN right according to MK, said lack of body language thing. Thought this was wrong? Hopefully they accept it.

So, at about 11-13 marks lost so far and hopefully not anymore as I was pretty confident with the last two qns.

Edit: He just finished, got different answers for shutdown procedures, and he got the excel formula wrong right??? Surely you can't add them, number would be huge as it was the actual height at that day rather than the change in height for that day.

Hopefully max 15 marks gone.

I don't mean to sound like a dick, but I did very little study, in fact what i did study didn't help because the laws didn't appear in the exam at all, and according to Mark Kelly's solutions I dropped 0-2 marks. The exam was way too easy, but for the wrong reasons. It was easy because general logic and problem solving skills will answer 90% of the questions for you. Rather than being about how well you know the theory or how well you can apply the theory, it was largely about how well you can take the information you're given and use common sense to answer the questions. Having said that, I do have a bit of a computer background, I know my way around excel and computers in general, but looking at the study design there's no way I know this course well. Imo that makes this a terrible exam.

]I think Mark made a few mistakes, although I'm sure these were typos:

Question 11 MC
He says PDFs aren't image files, yet the answer he gives (D) includes pdf. I think he meant to say C.

Question 16 MC
He says they're links between common primary keys, yet many of the fields he links weren't primary keys. They were unique and *could have* been primary keys, but they didn't feature the key symbol beside them. His answer was A, but I think it should have been B.

Question 3 MC
He says a keyboard swipe doesn't exist, but what's this? http://www.google.com.au/images?q=keyboard%20swipe&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1028&bih=869. It looks like a mobile keyboard an unauthorised user would type his password into. Furthermore, his answer, CCTV, wouldn't have the video quality to see what was occurring on a screen. It might not even be facing the screen and would almost definitely be too far away, and its view may be even covered by the hacker 's body too.

Mark Kelly got Question 11a wrong?

i put =(G6-B6)

because it asks for the weeks growth compared to the week before? he just adds them all...

And what this guy said, too. By Mark Kelly's logic, I could have grown 3km taller by measuring myself every day and then adding those measurements.

That said, I think a lot of what I and chopz pointed out were silly mistakes he made in the rush to publish the solutions online. I'm sure he knows all this stuff.

I'm pretty sure he did not get this wrong, because even though PDF's aren't images, it gives them more reason why they should group the files within the folder.
To separate the pictures from the 'pdfs'...thats how i interpreted his answer i personally got it wrong if his correct..

Edit: Nvm, saw the keyboard with a card slot.

But question C had four image types, nothing 'complicated' like your method of image extraction for PDFs.

http://www.scantips.com/basics9t.html (note it has a .tif extension even though it's called the TIFF format.)
