Loved the subject, picked it up this year in 3/4 without the 1/2
Looking to 45+ after that exam, if you liked PE then this theory is easy.

it tends to have lower A+ cutoffs than PE, and it is similar style with memory heaps of stuff - so easier to do well if you put in the work.
spam heaps of practice exams, know your stuff and like PE it is an easy subject due to the cohort who do it.

(i dont do the subject, but know people who do and was considering before in the past )

I had friends studying the subject and complaining how much theory they had to remember. I dropped PE in Year 10 so I wouldn't have a clue. I had another friend in another school scoring a 47, impressive.

Hey there.

I don't think any subject can really be classified as being 'easy'. ;) I'm only saying this because I made that mistake. I did Bio in 09' and my teacher recommended Health this year because it was an 'easy' subject. Little did I know that it was only 'easy' [ok, I'll stop with the easy] for her because SHE TEACHES IT.

The exam was, interestingly enough - awesome. I'm ranked 1st in class but even that won't be enough to get me a 40+ . :(

Anyway, it's a great subject but there's SO MUCH to remember. I made heaps of summaries. Let me know if you need any. :)

I didn't exactly find health "easy" this year, saing that i personally didn't find it very interesting. I guess if it's a subject you like, you should do well.

Okay let me put it this way, it is extremely easy to do average in this subject, difficult to do very well (as in over 45)

Hey,
I did Health and attained a score of 48. I wouldn't classify Health as a particularly difficult subject, especially if you really are fascinated by the concepts taught. Then again, it's not a very easy one either - there is a vast amount of information to absorb, and the ability to analyse information and apply this knowledge to situations (rather than simply defining) is necessary to get a high study score. People erroneously conclude that it is very easy to get a high score with minimal work; I am not entirely sure why, because you definitely need to do a lot of work to get 45+.

As a student of both health and PE, I would probably put them on similar levels in terms of difficulty. They are different though - PE is more science-based, whereas H&HD is more focused on the sociological aspects of health. PE and Health complement each other very well, so I'd definitely suggest it to anyone interested in PE. A good gauge as to whether you might enjoy H&HD is if you're finding/found AOS1 (Physical Activity Participation) quite interesting and wanted/want to delve into it further. I would say you'd definitely be a health and human development student if this is the case.

I'd advise to have a good look at the Health study design here: http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/studies/healthnhuman/healthumindex.html, or have a flip through a friend's text book. DO NOT do the subject purely because you believe it'll be an easy subject to undertake and get a high score in, because there is a lot to take in and it will be near impossible and frustrating to stay focused if you're not really a health+hd person. Some of my friends have done health due to this misconception and have ended up with mediocre scores which have been scaled down.

Best of luck with everything, and if you have any more questions or anything feel free to PM me :)

How did you manage to get a 48?!
I'm in year 10, and I'm stuck between the choice of health, psych and accounting for.
I'm doing  bio 3/4 and eco 3/4 next year, along with english, methods, chem and i'm stuck on my last one.
