Being a bit silly here, but on STAV 09, they say that so2- will go to the +ve electode or the cathode. But cations always go to cathode so wouldn't H+ go instead of S02-?

sorry I don't troll through the forums that much given the small volume of exams i've done  :angel:

At the cathode, reduction occurs:
H2SO4  + 6H+ + 6e-     -> 4H2O

As reduction occurs, the system becomes more positive, so SO4 2- migrates there, i think?
