I dont think a highest score anywhere should be valuable enough to bear a title that says "LOOK AT ME~ I GOT XX IN A SUBJECT"

because seriously, beyond year 12, no one will care about VCE anymore. =P

how respectable you are should not be of a faceless score like the ENTER and SS, but rather, if you are a good person, the community will recognise you.

I was reading this thread with interest. I did not want to post beforehand because my opinion might have influenced others, especially re: the logistics of tracking such awards.

I would like to give out some sort of award to a person who excels academically whilst helping others on the site. I think, by example, the person who would have won it in 2007 would have been Ahmad. I'll keep this in mind, and I do think it's a great idea. My thoughts so far, have been along the lines of money towards uni fees. Of course, this won't be feasible at *least* until 2010 (in terms of revenue growth required to finance such a thing). But for this year, I'd like to think of something that can be done to honour a particularly helpful and successful member.

Yeah, that's a great way. But the lines towards uni fees? That's gonna cost heaps. like >$5000.

lol I said monetary HELP. Not fully pay them off. I was thinking more along the lines of a few hundred dollars. Not much, but it's something.

well you could just replace "VCENotes" with student community if you don't want it to look tacky. :P But who said you'd get it anyway *-) haha

haha, but what to award to the recipient? (Clearly it's not going to be anything of much value this year :P)
