I r a bit confuse about what I have to choosies with my subjects. I'm doing arts, this year I did let's say units A, B, C, D. I know I'm majoring in A so that's not a problem. But B and C where arts units that I don't want to do again (french, philosophy) and D was an arts unit in semester one and marketing in semester 2.

So, for next year what the hell do I do? Do I have to do 3 more first year sequences or how does it work? This post is probably very poorly written I apologize, I'm very tired.

hmm - for most courses, i believe that they just combined units and/or changed the names. For example, I did unit A and its name got changed to X, I don't have to redo X next year (even though X has modified content in it because I can gain "credit" for completing A).
So I would think that you wouldn't have to repeat your units, unless the unit content changed drastically. It's best to check with a course advisor.

You're enrolled in the BA in your first year, correct? If so, you can only complete a total of 60 credit points at first-year level; therefore, three new first-year sequences wouldn't be possible (you can only do one new first-year sequence).

You might want to read the requirements needed to complete your BA and structure the remainder of your degree accordingly:

(a.) an arts major (48 points)
(b.) an arts minor in a different area of study (24 points)
(c.) a first-year arts sequence in a third area of study (12 points)
(d.) another 12 points of arts at first, second or third-year level
(e.) additional units to make up a total of 144 points.

By combining some of the core arts requirements, students can complete a double major in two different arts disciplines. For more details on this option, contact the Faculty of Arts.

No more than 10 units (60 points) are to be completed at a first-year level.

Students must complete a minimum of 36 points at third-year level (across the duration of the degree).

Do you want to carry on with the arts unit from D? This would be the fastest way to get a minor. You've got your major, first year sequence and two electives covered. You need to choose which other subject will be your minor. If you do choose arts unit D then you will do the other semester unit next year and then continue on with it as normal. I'm having to do the same with one my subjects (first year subject in second year, which isn't really uncommon anyway) because I didn't want to continue on with journalism or history. If you don't want to do D and DEFINITELY don't want to do B or C then I'm pretty sure you'll just have to do 2 first year units next year for whatever area of study you want to pick it up. It will add an extra semester to your course (though I'm not sure if you can do less electives and replace these with your minor subjects).

It will add an extra semester to your course (though I'm not sure if you can do less electives and replace these with your minor subjects).

A new first-year sequence won't add another semester to his course (which isn't possible anyway as WES will block you if you try to enroll in more than 144 credit points come third year). Kendra has enough room in his degree to complete a minor in a new area of study with a first-year sequence, but he'll need to ensure that this new area of study will be his minor as he won't have enough first-year credit points left to pursue anymore new areas of study at first-year level. All of this is presuming that he's not interested in pursuing B, C or D further, though.

I got approval to do 11 first year subjects doesnt hurt to ask
