I'm expecting to get two 50s so I reckon I did pretty average this year. Gonna have to lift my game next year...

P.S. Did you find accounting hard this year? I mean, compared to year 11, is it a big difference?

The exams this year were ok (not too bad), though VCAA did stuff up both exams. To answer your other question, I don't know... I didn't do Accounting 1/2... I skipped it and went straight in Accounting 3/4 (my school allows students to do Accounting 3/4, without having done Units 1/2). I don't think Units 1/2 has a lot of relevance to 3/4, other than the basic reports (i.e. Balance Sheet, P/L Statement etc).

This thread is very long now, so I thought I would say 'hi'.

Hi!

LOL Hi!

Couldn't agree more with you! I would recommend to everyone to do a 3/4 in year 11!!

Ditto (again). My school does recommend students do a 3/4 subject in Year 11.

My 3&4 performances were awful this year. I strongly advise year 11s not to take up 3&4 subjects unless they are seriously committed.
I think that doing a 3/4 in yr 11 is vital in preparing you for yr 12, it gives you insight to the workload required depending on your subejcts -This is what i found out in biol and being able to experience a yr 12 VCAA exam gives you a massive advantage.
You learn certain things that enable you to have success in yr 12. I believe if you are allowed to take a 3//4 in yr 11 do it!!! Everything that i've done wrong this year or that i havent done so well in, i will use as motivation to do better in yr 12, it allows me to rectify those mistakes and never make them again. As said above a 3/4 in yr 11 is invaluable.

Oh Stonecold, I'm only gonna be hoping for Law, Arts/Law or Commerce/Law.

Don't worry.  Two high 40s + a mid 40 + a 40 in EngLang should get you above 98.5, which will see you in.  Definitely doable.

I disagree. My failure this year has (Hopefully) made me extremely committed to perform the opposite of what I performed this year. I've learned the shit feeling of letting myself down, and I believe that without this experience I wouldn't be as motivated to ace year 12 as I am right now. So even if you do crappy, I believe It's a good experience regardless

I believe it should be made compulsory.

Read this - that should help out for Accounting, if you haven't read it already.
