How effective is this? I plan to just drag myself through the networks module, and teach myself matrices and Linear.... anyway I did that in Methods... But yeah. Is it effective teaching yourself modules, to get a good score?

Core = you have to do, everyone has to do it
It's really up to you what modules you want but then there will be less guidance throughout the year as they will be going through stuff you won't be needing

you can teach yourself linear/matrices
not a hard concept
if you do methods, the only new thing in linear is "linear programming"
and matrices is same shit as methods
so yes it is achievable
77.85.. is the number I better wake up to on the morning of December 13th

Matrices is really a walk in the Park. My Schools has taught Trig, Matrices and Business Math for years. But given that I hate Trig with a passion, I will just do Business, Matrices and Graphs+Relations. It's not hard at all, provided you got some basic understanding of Unit 1+2 Methods Linear.

Looks like we'll compete in both Maths Subjects :P

Why ditch business? :(
It was epically easy this year on the exam. Despite majority saying it is hard, tedious etc. I found it to be extremely straight-forward. Once you understand the key concepts, the entire module can be completed on the calculator. Have a look through the different modules before you decide which one you will do.

My school is doing Number Patterns, Trig and Linear (mod 1,2,3) and I'm pretty sure Number Patterns will be a cake walk for me since I did it in GMA this year

I think I'll end up doing Matrices over Trig given that people have said to steer clear from it
