How do I set it so I don't receive advertisements via PM please?

I do not have any of the options to receive forum announcements/notifications ticked so I'm a little confused as to why I'm currently receiving these msgs.

Anyways so how do I have it set so I don't receive this stuff please?

I'm pretty capable of reading the forum and homepage so I don't see the need to receive information 3 times, thanks!

This was a special case. The cause was for a not-for-profit organisation, and I will endeavour to keep those announcements to a minimum. I was trying to reach the audience that did not frequent the site, more than anything else. The PM was for those to whom the e-mail would be sent to the spam box.

But how do I ensure I have it set so I don't receive advertisements please, or do I already have it set so i'm not suposed to?

I should have made it clear. I overrode the option not to receive e-mail announcements for that specific e-mail.

Not a threat, but do you realise there are legal implications of that?
