Most of the units you do in materials engineering are similar if not the exact same to the ones in materials science except with different codes. Look at the prohibitions of each subject and you'd realise that if you did materials engineering most of the materials science subjects would become prohibited.

I honestly don't know. I had science/engineering as my first preference until I saw the prohibitions... :P
