How exactly do I finish the course on the summer holidays?

Our teachers didn't set us any specified quantity/type of Further homework, but I'd like to finish the entire course so I can just breeze through SACS/Practise exams as efficiently as possible.
I have time so it's no problem, but would anyone here like to suggest how to tackle the course? Do I just do a few questions per chapter , make notes as I go along, how would I finish the course quickly without abandoning any vital parts of the entire course?
What method works best and how long would it take?
Also if it helps im doing these modules: Core,Graphs,Matrices,Geometry and Trig.
Thank you and if you've started please give me some advice on how to begin - go through the course during the hols! (Or how you've started) I've got my textbook (Maths quest) already.

The main method is to read through the textbook - self learn the material then do the questoins. Tbh most of the stuff you shld already know. Dont bother doing every questoin only do the ones you think are appropriate. You can save chapter reviews for sacs if you want.
If you want to make notes then go ahead but it isnt necessary. It would probably take less than a week with 5~hours a day

Good advice, I'm only doing the questions I think are appropriate - skip the trivial ones. I'm going to leave chapter reviews for SACS. I'm not making notes, as I think I'm going to be making them during class and contribute it to my bound reference. I'm not being too intense at this stage, I'm probably just going to finish the core + 1 module to cover the fist semester so I can focus more on subjects with midyears.

Ok. I think I'm just going to run through core, should I bother following the study design's dot points?

I didnt take notice of the study design at all... But you can have a look at if you want and if there's something there that isnt in your textbook then you can ask on VN or look at a different textbook.
The core is the only tricky part to learn as most of it's using the CAS. Once you've finished that the rest will be relatively simple. Geo, matrices and graphs they're all pretty much self explantory. So you will be able to finish those a lot quicker than the core. Matrices only has a 5ish exercises in Maths Quest from memory, geo has a few chapters with 7 exercises and graphs has 2 chapters with 7~ exercises i think...

Yeah I hope I'll be able to recycle some knowledge from methods 1/2 into graphs.. it'd make matrices and so much easier

You don't need to finish the course in the holidays.
Maybe just familiarise yourself with the core and also see which three modules you are best at.

My suggestion would be to study the stuff you'll be doing in class earlier in the year - so core, and maybe the first module if you know what order you'll be doing those in. If you study in the summer for a module that you're not covering in class until September or October, then you might have forgotten it by the time it rolls around anyhow. At least you can get a head start on the Core and really get that nailed down.

You might find this helpful http://www.vcefurthermaths.com/ its a bunch of youtube videos; free tutoring in further maths. At the moment I've only recorded stuff on univariate data, but I'm working my way through the course slowly. Takes a while to make each video. If you have something specific you want answered though, just shoot me an email I'd be happy to help you out [email protected]

Good luck with your VCE! :-D
