Any help appreciated
7a.  I had trouble understanding the first sentence at first. They mean she has borrowed $149.99 at 18% compound interest for three months. This can be done with TVM on CAS calculators with N=3, I=18, PV= 149.99, PMT = 0, C/Y = 12 and then tap FV for the answer $156.84

7b  Take this month by month. Interest at 18% a year is 1.5% each month
The loan after the first month = 1.015 x 149.99 and then take away 50
The loan after the second month is 1.015 x (1.015 x 149.99-50) and then take away 50 again
At the end of the third month, the loan is for 1.015x(1.015x(1.015x149.99-50)-50) = $54.58

Another question here. #notevenfinance

This is also a question to do with TVM on the calculator.
For each option, first find the repayment needed to pay back the loan, plus interest, in 5 years.

For example, option A use N=60, I = 7.5, PV = 25000, PMT is what you want to find, FV = 0, C/Y = 12
This give PMT = $500 to the nearest dollar

For this option, there are 60 payments of $500 and total payments = $30000 for $25000 borowed.
The difference is $5000 interest for this option.

Do the same for option B, but N = 20 (quarters in 5 years) and C/Y = 4 (quarters in one year)
For this option, PMT = $1510 to the nearest dollar. Then go on from here.

Your value of N is not correct but that would give you a much bigger answer anyway so it must be just a typing mistake.
Check the following against what you typed in.

N=(60-37)*12=276
I=4.2
PV=0
PMT=-(0.07+0.14)*54200/12=-948.50
FV=??
P/Y=C/Y=12

This gives FV=439829.2563
