It just means you have to stop relying on the calculator, it won't kill you.

Apparently the lecturer told us that people doing MTH 1055/1085 will get destroyed because they are pretty much writing new exams. lol still get to use their calcs and notes! Ah it's silly fussing over trivialities.

I suppose the fact that our 2010 mid year had half its questions identical to the 2009 one didn't really help the kids hoping the easiness of MTH1055/1085 would go under the radar
