In your situation you only made one error - thus there 'may' be a one mark deduction. An alien is something that does not belong eg the bad debt entry in the subsidiary ledger (response B) in the MC questions. To do an extra entry may not be an alien and you may not lose a mark. Subsequent effects on P/L etc would not be penalised. That is why it is important to finish the question. Sounds like you are travelling well - good luck in the exam.

i can't believe extra entries may not even lose me a mark!

I think he means because aliens would be in ledgers and P+L Statements, they dont neccesarily have to negative mark for general Journal entries where you're recording BDA's because each entry is separate from the previous?


Key word is 'may', but I'm really happy I got some news like that. Makes me feel more confident =)
