amyminchin:
:) Thanks guys! Our school doesn't let us know what our rankings are :S But I think I'm fairly high up in all my subs except Maths, lol. Our school is tiny as well- I dont know if that makes any difference (?)

Lit: 2nd (but one mark away from first) or 3rd
English: Not sure about other classes but 1st/2nd in mine
Maths: lol. No Comment. We have so many Methods/Spec students looking for an easy 50.
Psych: 2nd/3rd
Media: Very even class... probably around 4th/5th?

Hope this helps :)
Thankyou guys SO much. :)

Amy

yes, your cohort may be joined with another school's cohort to make up the minimum size [i believe it was 16]

Matt The Rat:
Cohort size depends on the subject itself as well. For LOTEs I've been told that it's a minimum of 5.

sisqo1111:
if this is my ranking in the following subjects, what do you think my enter will approx be?

english: between 5-8
psych- 1
media- 1
methods- 4
multimedia- 2

completed legal studies last year and got a 34

any ideas lol?
im aiming to do better in english, for my first sac i got 12/30, then the following i got, 18/20, 17/20 and 27/30. so from my three english classes im guessing my approx rank lol

thanks

having ranking by itself yields no information either. To make it meaningful, you need to predict your cohort's performance in the exam as well as your own, and then take the appropriately ranked exam score as approximately your SAC GA mark.

from that you predict the sum of your GAs then how that might rank according to the state, then a very wide range of what your SS might be.

so...? predicting SS is often a complete waste of time and effort :P
