Is Aeneid Book 1 by Keith Maclennan in English or Latin?
wildareal:
I've got a spare copy if you need it. It's in Latin. :)
eeps:
Not to go off-topic, but I found out my school is doing "Juvenal: The Tenth Satire" for the whole of Semester 1, then obviously moving onto "Aeneid Book 1" for Semester 2. What text are you guys studying for Semester 1? My teacher said that different schools study different texts for Semester 1; but for Semester 2, every school does "Aeneid Book 1".
werdna:
We're doing Aeneid Book 1 in semester 2 as well. But I didn't know there was a text for semester 1? :S It definitely wasn't on the booklist.
eeps:
Neither was "Juvenal: The Tenth Satire" for my school; it wasn't on my school's book-list either. My Latin teacher gave us a copy of the text on the first day back; we didn't need to buy it. It's about 365 lines in total. I presume you would be studying another text besides Aeneid, otherwise I don't know what you would do for one whole semester. :p
Pixon:
Yeh, everyone does the Aeneid in Sem 2 because it's on the exam. Schools do different things for Sem 1...I know many schools that do Livy. I believe we're doing Cicero (someone from my school can correct me if needed).
And just like the rest of you...there was no Sem 1 text on the booklist.
