What unit 3 detailed study are you doing?

Sup yo.

My school is doing 'Materials and their use in structures'.

Other choices were:

- Relativity
- Further Electronics.

M&S is quite dry in my opinion, wish we had done relativity, looks really interesting. Also I HATE electricity

How about you all?

Pretty sure my class is doing further electronics cos you know, the teacher teaches electronics too -_-

unit 3 - materials and structures (i think it might be interesting as it seems quite practical e.g you can relate it to the physics involved in building bridges and tension required to support a certain mass)

~80% of the state do S&M.

All the cool people do electronics though, even if their school does S&M.

Do relativity in your own time, I did it on schoolies!!!... (it's kind of cool i guess, frames of reference is boring...)

I preferred Structures and Materials, just master things like torque, elastic limit, strain energy etc and you're set. (Most of these can be summarized on 1 or 2 graphs that have arrows pointing to shaded regions etc I'll try and find the digital copy of my cheat sheet to show you what I did.)

I was initally hung up when we had to  do materials and structures, but  it isnt honestly that bad, i actually enjoyed the problems involving torque.

Dont worry, at the end of day structures and mats is easier, essentially every quesiton in it is free marks, much the same as sound (although i would say that in 2010 sound was moderately harder than materials and structures.
