i know...sooo late we get it ><

Anyway...if you went on allocate and did your preferencesrather early (say 1st week it was opened), is it more likely you will get your first preference for time slots

Thanks :D

Nope, they go through everyones preferences at the same time. The only way to increase your chances of getting your first pref is to have your 2nd and 3rd prefs clashing.

Yeah basically what 98.4 said. I changed one of my preferences about 15 minutes before allocate+ closed, and the slot was about 200% popular, yet despite my last minute change I managed to get it. You should try to rig it and have most of your preferences clash with other things, however that can end up screwing you up badly

I always get my preferences :S Even if you don't get the tute you want just show up and say you have a clash and they'll usually (mostly?) let you stay in that class.

So glad we have this system, instead of UoM's ^___^ My internet is capped 90% of the time so the first come first serve principle always fails me
