I always found that catching up on maths was easier than a normal subject. Borrow a friend's set of notes and you can copy them out in ~20 minutes?

Even that could be annoying.  Some people don't copy down everything, which is fair enough because if you know it to death, why would you copy it?

That's the thing about maths which is kind of different.  You have varying mathematical abilities and just because you might have the notes off a friend, you need to be sure that they have copied down everything, or at least everything you need.

So if you're really bright and/or have an aptitude for maths, you should be fine missing lectures and copying off a mate.
