Have never needed to since!
How about when you stuck your face onto the Concession card form thingy for a yearly myki? :P

I got my yr 9 bro to do it (first year at MHS). He was so enthusiastic and I didn't want to ruin his fun... ;)

LOL why is it that when one person in a family gets into MHS/MacRob, the rest get in too...?! I've noticed this is the case for most families ;D

Most school usually allow people a preference if they have family already enrolled, in my experience. I was miles out of the zone for my school, but got in because my cousin did really well the year before.

Yes, they usually have that rule for most schools. But in the case of Mac.Rob, you can't claim that you have a sister there and then you're automatically given a spot. I know friends who are twins and only one of them got accepted and the other went to another school.

I hear for MHS, that if you're applying for year 11 or 12, you can mention in your application that you've had a brother who went there and it might increase your chances. Not sure about this, but maybe the many MHS guys on this forum can confirm that.

I've progressively completed everything over the holidays, except two tasks which were too difficult/couldn't be bothered doing (a pretty difficult handout for physics, and to study for an EL grammar test); so I can probably take it easy until friday when I start (even though I still have to buy stationary :/).  I've been to lectures for physics and spesh, and I've seen a few tutors over the last couple of weeks, so I feel that I've done enough.

Am I pumped for 2011? Not really.  While I'm actually looking forward to some of my subjects, I'm not completely looking forward to getting back to my school.  I'm looking forward to getting through to the end of the year, and moving on to something different lol

Heh, I initially thought I managed to get off lightly (only had set work for 3 subjects), but then when I started talking to other students I knew, I realised that they had at least three times the workload I had...

Our school gave us nearly 0% workload.

PS: Excludes  a hand out sheet for chemistry, 1 chapter for methods, and reading texts.

I had a chapter for methods, an exercise and a handout for physics, and an essay/test study for english language.  I got nothing for spesh, and I was told to read the textbook for MUEP

I actually am slightly pumped, which is weird considering I never have been any other year.
I've completed all of my holiday homework except for some Psych stuff (kinda hard to do when the textbook hasn't even been printed). I've done some work for EL, and read a chapter of my BM textbook. So yeah, I really haven't done a lot during the holidays :S

I'm looking forward to getting through to the end of the year, and moving on to something different lol

Best first day, 4 frees (and recess + lunchtime) to end the day! Only went to school for like 2.5 hours! ;D

I suddenly feel motivated after going back to school.

Only thing that bothered me was the student to space ratio. Note to other schools, having 2200 students and teachers on ONE site just doesn't work. Our school literally looks like a zoo at lunchtimes.

Come to MHS library ~1hr b4 an exam - that's when you'll know what a zoo is.

And that is why I study in T9.

Yeah, I feel exactly the same! Felt good to be back with friends as well.

Oh my god that's terrifying!

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

Did the people at MacRob give the same speeches as the people at MHS? We got told similar figures too...
