Hey there jeanweasley,
You're studying Mary and Max! Ahhh you're so lucky!
If you haven't already, start taking detailed notes on the film. Go crazy and analyse everything - dialogue, cinematography, sound, line, texture. The assessors want you to recognise the techniques in a text and what exactly you think they communicate to an audience. In our jumpstart 2011 our teacher didn't even get past the opening credits of Persepolis without any analysis and from there we were practically analysing frame by frame.
In terms of structuring paragraphs - centre them around main scenes or ideas. After you've analysed the crap out of your texts, it's useful to divide your ideas into separate interpretations; from there it's a lot easier to write paragraphs based around your different points of discussion.
