There is no penalty if you re-do a subject again.
Must be redoing your VCE then, I know you can lose 10% of your mark somewhere...

In any case, no point in repeating. 37 is a solid foundation ;D

I heard about that 10% rule from somewhere...but I think that might be a myth. Because if you decide to repeat VCe, they'll just take the higher scores, regardless of which year you took them in.

37 raw scales up to around 40 something? I wouldnt repeat, just accept it, move on and focus on other subjects

My mum did VCE not 8 years ago (in one year, mind you) and got 10% taken off of her final score.

She still got 88.

I also wouldn't advise Uni Maths if your score for Methods was a 37...

Maybe a little too much advice? OP should do uni maths and be proud doing uni maths. Wish I could. =)

Just being realistic... But if the OP enjoys it, go for it!

However, if maximising the ATAR scores is the underlying issue (as stated by wanting 90+ ATAR)...

A VCE score doesn't really mean all that much. And 37 in methods is quite good. Just to put it in perspective, people are accepted with low 30s sometimes. And for MUEP last year I personally know one of the "highest achievers" and he got 42 in methods the year prior..he says that he actually picked up ~5 marks on the second check of his methods papers, meaning that he could've gotten 37-39 - and he was the highest achiever. If you like maths/find it easy(some people do it purely for this reason) then do it and there's no reason you can't get 5.5 :)

Also, there is no penalty whatsoever for repeating anymore.

How could she have done it 8 years ago.. I'm probably just really tired, but doesn't that mean she was 8 when she had you?

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

Might have gone back to school later?
