There actually aren't any parties that I know of during O week, it's mostly just social events and pub nights

Incidentally, Tuesday is (according to uni) an alcohol free day

Ah i see, so is there anything aside else on tuesday after orientation at 10?

Events run by societies aren't, pubs is...well...down to luck. I've never been ID'd at a carlton pub but others say they are *shrug*

^ I see, thanks :)
I'll try & stick with science students then.

edit.. what about tuesday after orientation & wednesday?

Sherry Party 2pm Tuesday.

Incidentally, Tuesday is (according to uni) an alcohol free day

Sure it is. :P

Yeah but Jacana, Roxy, Ringwood, Dandy, Footscray, etc are the worse ones. :P

How did you forget about Broadmeadows? That place scares me...

Ehhh...Broady isn't too bad. Cleaned up its act a bit recently. Jacana, on the other hand, is broady but 100m down the road, near deserted and completely unmanned.

Im not turning 18 till december :|
Are they strict on IDs? :P

If you're on a pub crawl, they won't ask. If they do ask, get somebody else to buy for you.

Sherry party requires no ID except to buy your sherry originally. Again, get somebody else to do it.

Societies hardly give a shit. If you're under 18 and we're checking IDs (to cover our arses), just don't get your ID checked and ask a mate to grab beers for you.

Sure it is.

In the horrifically boring host training, one of the situations I had to roleplay was "what happens if a member of your group only cares about going to the pub" and my response was "take the group there and leave him there".

They then went on about how alcohol is bad on Tuesday :S

I don't care what they say. I'm dual wielding stubbies from am to pm.

And sherry party is on Tuesday, which definitely involves alcohol.

I hope all of my students want to go to the pub. That would make my job so much better.

In Biomedicine, you're statistically guaranteed to have at least one (more like all) student who doesn't drink/date/go out in your group

Those people are irrelevant to day to day life and hence can reasonably be assumed not to exist.

Cool. Have fun with that.

Not everyone has to booze all the time.  In fact due to my red Ps and slow metabolism I rarely do.
I just make my nights big when I can have them.
At bars and clubs, not usually pubs.

I didn't say you had to booze all the time. I was cocking my head at you saying 'hate that' simultaneously in two different threads, lol.
