Am I the only one who finds that the inability to sort items from searches (eg. by date) makes the tool a bit ineffective, and hence tedious to find things in results?

Lets say I'm looking for a specific link (for a book for example) and the search results come out with things from 2008 and 2009 which are not relevant anymore, ie older editions of texts (especially in Methods).

Any way to sort by date?

Yeah, most of the times, you'll need to advance search it and it'll work.

I use advanced all the time so maybe that's why.

i find it often difficult to use too

Unfortunately the search tool is built into the forum so it's not really the admin's fault.  Perhaps we could make a suggestion to improve it?

You could do a google search(click for example) of the site and mess with the advanced options but a lot of the site is closed off unless you log in so google can't see it unfortunately.
