i think the school you go to also makes a big difference
2010- English, Chemistry, Physics, Methods CAS & Further Maths

Yes, I agree. There's a massive gap between the average schools like mine and top performing schools like Melbourne High and definitely makes your job harder. Its unfair but it just means if you do really well you will feel more accomplished than others because you had a massive burden that is dumb people letting your school down.

W8 so you can't get 35+ without any A's? o.O

How about a study score of 25+ or 30+? What would you need

I got A A A for MM and got a 36. I know someone who iirc got B+ B+ A 36.

Similar situation for Physics... so it's all a bit hit and miss.

Well my friend's sister got C's and D's for methods and she got 27 (she didn't want it in her top 4). So I'm guessing a    25-30 is around C's and 30-34 is B's to B+

It really all depends on how high each of your grades are. Getting three high A+ for a subject versus three of the lowest is a difference of ~11 study scores. It's not like year 9 and 10 anymore, every mark counts - not good enough to just get a particular grade anymore.
