im muslim, and it probably wasn't halal, so i didnt stay long after the tour finished.
I'm a vegetarian, i got a worse problem haha.

overall orientation sort of made me hate monash
I got this too, i'm actually looking less forward to it after orientation than before.  Haha, i think its designed to be the other way around.

As for meeting people, I befriended the people sitting next to me
Haha, i guess its luck of the draw, entirely depends on the people sitting next to you.

Its a throw of the dice whether you'll click with them or not and if they had friends with them, the people next to me had friends with them and they were always talking to them.

Anyway i hope come first lectures/tutorials people will be a bit more spread out from the people they already know and it might be a bit easier to find some more people to be friends with.

I got there early and spoke to 5/6 ppl who were just standing alone. When orientation started we went and sat at the same table. Not much luck in the *draw involved with this  ;)

Really awkward during the first few minutes of conversations and probably the hardest thing was to say "hi" ::) . Did it cause I've decided I got nothing to lose.

I'm actually now looking forward to uni :D

FKKKKK where was the free calculator? Dammit should've gone to commerce thing for the whole day, instead of rocking up to the last few minutes of the lecture thing where the lady at the front asked us "Uh did you guys just arrive?" LOL

you guys got FREE CALCULATORS?!
i wish they would give something to arts students.
i wouldnt mind an electronic dictionary, that would make up for the bad orientation i had.

@kingpomba, i guess you got it worse.
oh well..
and yeah totally agree. hopefully even in like tutorials it'd be an even smaller group so people would be forced to befriend me haha
