So our Sac for Cosi is soon and the topic i choose to write about is:
"Though Cosi is a comdey, the real messages are deeply significant"I'm going to write up my essay and post it here as soon as its done
but i just wanted to have a discussion with some people on what to write about and their views etc.
Quickly before i say what i was gonna write about i have some quick questions.
1. This topic is very broad does that mean its better to write about one theme and stick to it. (eg Love fidelity) Rather than writing about 3 to 4 different ones?
2. At school our 'English plus' group were speaking about how to approach this question and concluded that you could write 1 BP about comedy and the rest about any other deeply significant message we feel like talking about. But I thought this was wrong i thought you had to write about how the comedic element of Cosi masks these deeply significant messages.
3. i had a third question but i cant remember it now...when i do ill post it lol

So ANYWAY i took the approach of how comedy masks these deeply significant messages:
Ironic humour - In Act 2 scene 2, Lewis is practising his lines about fidelity and then Lucy walks in laughs at these ideals of Love and Fidelity and then tells Lewis that she is cheating on him...
- Lewis and Lucy Love and Fidelity
^ that's ironic isn't it?
maybe another one if i can find one
Comedy ( not sure what type of comedy it is ) - Ruth's difficult nature, Through Act1 talking about illusion and reality
- Ruth Illusion Vs Reality
Sadistic/Black Humor - need examples.
- Doug and Insanity vs Sanity
