whooaaa, so its just going to be like another "virtual melbourne uni competition" to get in, since theres no melbourne uni, all the biggest brains that wud have gone to melbourne are going to go monash, i am fucked!!! I had atleast some chance of going 2 monash b4 this rule change, now it seems i am out. :'(

Don't give up when everything that matters is still ahead of you! :)
Also remember that Monash places a great deal of emphasis on the interview and Melbourne also have a guaranteed entry scheme for post-grad medicine so they don't lose high-achieving students altogether.

what do u mean guranteed post grad? If so, how many spots are there and how much do u need?

if you get 99.90 or higher and do either new gen science or biomedical science... you are guaranteed a spot into postgraduate medicine at Melbourne University without having to worry about interview/gamsat
Provided you dont fail any subjects in your course anyway (which is unlikely if you get 99.xx?)

wat about an extremely high UMAT score?
