I don't when I'm studying for my written subjects. Sometimes I'll play rainymood if I'm feeling stressed though.

When I'm doing anything but english, music has minimal effect on my productivity.

About Philosophy

When I see a youth thus engaged,—the study appears to me to be in character, and becoming a man of liberal education, and him who neglects philosophy I regard as an inferior man, who will never aspire to anything great or noble. But if I see him continuing the study in later life, and not leaving off, I should like to beat him - Callicle

I tend to find that more or less any music played while I'm studying tends to literally stop me working altogether... I'll just sit there listening to the music not doing anything haha. Same goes for reading; I tend to prefer absolute silence in order to read properly, and even then I'll lose concentration pretty easily with my mind wandering elsewhere unless the piece is completely enthralling.

Yeah... I have a pretty bad attention span. I blame technology :D

EDIT: I also tend to find that I tend to have a tendency to use the verb "tend" way too much in posts concerning whether or not I tend to listen to music while studying.. >_>

A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

I can't go past Beirut for when I'm studying, doing homework, etc. Especially at school on my iPod, I get three times as much work done with it than without.

I aspire to play the friska after year 12 !
And oh dear, lang lang plays that incredibly fast, that's amazing

I'm experiencing mixed feelings of his interpretation of the friska, however
