Struggling in Chemistry

Hey all!
I'm planning to enter a medical course next year in my hopes to become a doctor. I feel confident in school and am doing well in all of my subjects minus chemistry.

Infact I'm losing all motivation, rapidly, because of chemistry.. I understood the 1&2 content and felt that it was fairly simple but 3&4 has been a huge jump for me and I'm falling helplessly behind. I was really hoping tha someone would be able to give me some tips as to how exactly. Should go about this class while surviving VCE (And survive = ATAR>97). Is chemistry supposed to be this difficult or am I just not talented enough to handle it?

Stressfully,
Vexior

I reccomend that you get a tutor if yuo're struggling to grasp the concepts. What topic are you doing at school atm?
Also chemistry is one of the 'harder' subjects, so dont be so harsh on yourself. Try doing more questions or researching the concepts to help give yourself a stronger understanding which will help.

My teacher said Unit 3 Chemistry is the hardest unit in all of VCE.
Mind you, he's probably a bit biased :P
Just ask heaps of questions about stuff you don't understand, and do lots of questions.
Holidays are coming up which should give you a chance to go over all the stuff you did in term one and catch up/get ahead.

Unit 3 is the HARDESt in terms of contents.

HOWEVER, when it comes to the exam, because unit 3 has SO MUCH stuff in it. The exam is actually easier than unit 4.
So I guess you get compensated in a way.

Chemistry does require a lot of thought and study to grasp its concept-it's not really easy at first but ones you know it you'll be able to do well in it. Don't stress, just take your time through it. You still have heaps of time from the exam so I would recommend having a tutor and doing a lot of questions based on the area of study.

So for every chapter/area of study do alot of prac q's ( check points) and like I said, move slowly with it for now.

Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

In understanding 1/2 very well,
let me make sure that you are good with:
- stoich
- all types of bonding (inter and intramolecular)
- writing formulas
If that's clear, then i'd like to ask what it is you're having difficulty with?
