The big bang never happened
m@tty:
Came across this website. Haven't had a chance to read it (I'm at work) but it looked interesting, or controversial at least ;)

Russ:
There are reasonable criticisms of the big bang model but that website just looks like it's made out of a basement
Although it is interesting to note that when astrophysicists discover a (fundamental) problem with their hypothesis, instead of scrapping it they decide to invent an arbitrary reason that perfectly explains the problem
slothpomba:
There are actually other competing theories besides the big bang out there - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternative_cosmology (saw it in a docco)
Archimedes:
I think you guys have to note that the big bang is the BEST at the moment in describing how we came to be. There are obviously flaws attahced with it but alot less than it's other competitors. The big bang is not the begginnnig of everything but it has been claimed that it was the begginning of our time, so everything before it can be disregarded.
Russ:
Yes, feel free to disregard anything that might invalidate your hypothesis... That's why I don't like the BBT and the scientific method that it represents. See my snide comment above about astrophysicists.
