Hey everyone,
Some of you may remember their being a discussion a few months ago about creating a VCE Notes Legal Studies Exam.
Well, it is my pleasure to announce that I am firmly underway in my writing of the exam.
Edit: The first draft of the exam is now complete.
My main concern is that it may be a bit long. I may have subconsciously done this to punish the 08 crop for me having a long exam lol
I did have a concern with the amount of marks allocated to each Area of Study but I've made some changes and its all pretty equal now I think.
I wont be posting the link to the document on here cause im keeping it under raps until its finally ready for publication on the site. Anyone who wants to view the exam can leave a post and I will send it 2 u. No 08 Legal students will be able to gain access to the exam until it is finished. This is for your own benefit so that you can do it under test conditions and not have seen the questions. That would make the exam pretty pointless if you knew all the questions before you started the exam. I am seeking expressions of interest from past Legal Studies students who are willing to review, edit and offer suggestions on the exam. I also want to be able to offer a short suggested answer booklet that could accompany the exam and having a few people on board would make this much easier.
The questions I've written aren't on a PDF file because I don't know how to and I dont think I have a PDF writer thing so someone who has the ability to do this would be welcomed on board.
The exam is structured the same as the 2006 and 2007 exam and is being written with close reference to the Study Design to ensure that as much of the course as possible is assessed (although just like any VCAA exam, not everything is assessed).
So please leave your posts here. I don't plan on releasing this exam for at at least 6 weeks for a few reasons although the exam will probably be finished by then.
Note to enwiabe: Do you want to be involved in the design of the exam to ensure that their is consistency in the design etc in all VCE Notes exams? Because I remember you saying you were writing the Methods one today and maybe you'd like them all to have the same font and front page etc.
