82 is a pretty high avg. In past years the cut-off has typically (anecdotally) been high 70's, so unless it goes up kinda suddenly (unlikely I would think) you should be fine. They could release transfer offers earlier, I remember when I transferred into law a few yrs ago the offer was a few days before the date.

I think they'd have to wait for the Year 12s? So I'm assuming it will be Jan 17th.

Thanks for that, I might ring them up and check. Will let prospective internal course transfers know how it goes.

Phoned the Faculty of Law and got told not to worry and that I will almost definitely get in. For others' information, I was told that an average  75 and above would have a good chance of getting in via internal course transfer. Also got told that the offers will be given out before 17th of January. They have to wait for all results to be finalised before releasing offers.

Yeah replied to the email and got an out of office auto reply since uni shut today for christmas. Seems legit. Can anyone else provide further information on this?

Haha nope, I'm happy with the degree I'm in at the moment! I just really, really wanted Brenden to get into law
