Electronics and Photonics is it that easy?

I just noticed that electronics and photonics takes up 1 chapter (35 pages) compared to straight-line/2D motion which takes up 3 (in the nelson book)...

if i'd noticed this at the start of holidays i probs would have attempted to cover it before schools back  :buck2:

is it that simple?

Yes. Some of the questions people come up with though can be question (see this forum) but all the exam questions I've seen are quite easy. It's also easy to make little mistakes in during exams...

I find electronics and photonics much easier than motion... the exam questions are probably all do-able with year 11 knowledge. I guess It's similar with motion, however there tends to be more circular motion/gravity/projectile than anything else...

But yes, electronics and photonics - pretty easy

I paid no attention in year 11 whatsoever, so found motion much much easier because it starts from the very basics and builds up, whereas electronics assumes a bit of prior knowledge initially.

Dont you guys find the theory hard to memorise..?
Or are we not expected to fully know how the optical transducers work?

At haileybury you've got that guy... what's his name... teaches VET Electrotech and has a PH.d? I wouldn't be surprised if he's exposing you too a lot of stuff you don't need to know. The electronics theory in VCE is very light.

I wish my school did electrotech :( I wanted to do it at RMIT this year, but didn't work with school timetables.
