Chemistry Tuition Useful?

Hey guys

In a bit of a dilemma here as to whether or not to take up tuition for chemistry. Just wondering if any of you guys have/had any experience as to whether or not it is useful/helped you much. Im also quite ahead of my class and started practice exams, so just wondering if it would help me at all or would I be better off just continue studying ahead, e.g. checkpoints.

If you're already up to practice exams, I'm assuming you've finished the course. If so, I don't see much point going to tuition at this point in time. I attend chemistry tuition and I find that it is somewhat useful, as it exposes you to the concepts and topics much much earlier compared to school. However, sometimes we would often only be slightly ahead of school (I have no idea whether this is because the teachers teach really fast or what) but now that we've gone over the course in tuition, we are pretty much at the stage you're at - practice exams.

So in conclusion, I reckon if you're doing well for your practice exams then keep going along with them, just make sure you mark all the questions you got wrong when correcting it and go through them again later on so you understand where you went wrong... I guess when you get your exam results back is when you can decide whether to take on tuition or not.

I suggest you go to lectures instead since you're at that stage. It'll be good revision if you have the money.

Well I'm getting between 70-90, so it that a good mark at this stage? :/
I just don't want to have any regrets after my exam..so if anyone had any experience with a similar problem before, it would be great if they could share whether tuition helped them.

I'm also planning to go to at least 1 lecture, so would a combination of that + checkpoints + exams be enough?

Like someone said earlier, tutor is useful to get ahead, to learn stuff in more detail - which should give you a stronger understanding, help with exam techniques/revision.
